OUR RESTAURANT

It was in 1954, on the corner of Bloor St. and Bedford St. in Toronto, that Swiss Chalet fired up its first slow-roasting rotisserie oven. Our delicious chicken, fresh cut fries, popular dipping sauce, and warm, welcoming environment have been bringing Canadians back for more ever since.

Our standard dining room and take out hours are Monday – Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. However, individual location hours vary and are subject to change. Please refer to our Restaurant Locator for specific restaurant hours.

OUR FOOD

We start with fresh - never frozen - chickens that are basted by Swiss Chalet’s specially trained cooks, placed on a spit and loaded into a rotisserie oven where they roast in their own juices before being removed from the spit and cut fresh to order.

At Swiss Chalet, our ribs are a labour of love. Our ribs are rubbed with spices and left to marinate for 24 hours. After marinating, the ribs are braised for over 2 hours, brushed with smoky BBQ sauce and then, once ordered, grilled to perfection.

Our fresh-cut fries are chipped daily, from fresh, whole Canadian potatoes. Once they’re cleaned, and perfectly chipped into fries, they are blanched to ensure firmness and crispness. Then they’re fried to order and served hot, just the way you like them!

If fresh-cut fries aren’t your thing, you can substitute them for one of several other delicious side choices. Your pick! Premium sides like the chicken poutine or sweet potato fries can also be substituted for a small charge.

Our famous smoky BBQ ribs are pork back ribs. A true labour of love, our ribs are dry rubbed and marinated in-house for 24 hours, braised to tender perfection, and then grilled-to-order and smothered in our smoky BBQ sauce.

Yes, both the Rotisserie Chicken and Signature Chalet Dipping Sauce are gluten free. If you have a sensitivity to gluten or any other allergy please inform your server before ordering so we can take extra caution when preparing your meal.

When it comes to food allergies, the safety and satisfaction of our Guests is our highest priority. However, as in all non-dedicated kitchens, there is the possibility of cross-contamination between food items. Occasional variations in recipes or product formulations can also occur and there is risk of cross-contamination of ingredients at the manufacturing site. Recipe Unlimited Corporation (including its affiliates, partnerships and franchisees) assumes no liability as a result of food related reactions.

Takeout & Delivery

Yes. You can order delivery or pre-order take-out online through order.swisschalet.com, our Swiss Chalet mobile app or by calling 1-886-439-0439.

All delivery orders must be a minimum of $11.99 before tax. If your order is below $11.99 before tax, an additional charge will be applied in the amount necessary to meet the $11.99 minimum.

At this time, not all of our restaurants offer debit as a valid payment option for delivery orders. Check the available payment methods when ordering online or ask one of our Customer Service representatives if the Swiss Chalet serving you accepts debit for delivery orders. We do accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and cash on all delivery orders.

In most cases, we guarantee delivery within 50 minutes from the time an order is placed. Sometimes there are situations where we cannot provide a time guarantee – such as if your delivery location is too far from a restaurant or you are ordering to an apartment or condo. Whether you place your delivery order online or over the phone, you will be notified whether or not there is a time guarantee on your order.

All customer service credits must be applied over the phone. This policy is in place to ensure that only the Guest who was awarded the credit is able to apply it to their order.

We always want to make sure your food arrives to your home hot and delicious – especially our famous, fresh-cut fries. In order to keep your food hot, we package take-out and delivery orders in enclosed containers and bags. The heat from the food causes steam which can result in our famous fries getting a bit soggy. If you’re like us, your love for our fries is unconditional. But if you’re looking for that perfect crispiness that you get in our dining room, you can revive your fries by popping them in the oven for 5 minutes at 350°C. Just heat, serve, and enjoy!

No. Our Family Pack meals are special offers that are available in delivery and take-out only.

Our Family Pack meal includes a whole Rotisserie Chicken, four single sides, four rolls, and a 12oz extra-large Chalet Dipping sauce. You have the option to have the Rotisserie Chicken served whole, cut in half, or cut in quarters. Chicken & Ribs Family Packs are also available.

Birthdays are special and we’re always excited to have our Guests celebrate their birthday with us! Many of our locations do offer Kids Eat Free on their birthday up to the age of 10, however it is at each franchisee's discretion, so this offer is available at participating locations only. Please call your local Swiss Chalet to find out if they offer this at their location.

There are three ways to purchase an Ultimate Dining Gift Card. Visit any participating restaurant operated by RECIPE Unlimited including Swiss Chalet®, Harvey’s®, Kelsey’s®, and Montana’s Cookhouse® and ask an associate for a Card. You can also visit select gift card retailers across the country, or purchase your Gift Card online: click here.

Yes, but only if the gift card number begins with 308, 636, or 603. When placing your order, simply provide the gift card number over the phone or enter it online when you select “Gift Card” as your method of payment.
